Mark Murphy, MD, is board-certified in family medicine and preventive medicine with a subspecialty in addiction medicine. Had he not been inspired to choose a career in health care Dr. Murphy would be an author. Away from work he enjoys reading, gardening, woodwork, traveling and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and large extended family.

Education: BA Stanford Univ 1981, MD Creighton University 1990

Employment: rural Fam Med physician in WY and CA before joining Univ of WA in 1998. Moved to MultiCare in 2008 and currently serve as Medical Director for Addiction Services for that healthcare system.
