Jay has been in law enforcement for the past 29 years. In that time he has worked and supervised both patrol and investigations. His current role is the Commander with the Tumwater Police Department, and oversees day to day operations for the department.

Jay is a husband, father and, along with his wife, are foster parents with the State of Washington.
